1. Disconnect temperature: inside the plug, generally choose to disconnect temperature of 90 degrees or 100 degrees;
Considering that the temperature switch will have current thermal effect in the case of passing current, resulting in early
disconnection temperature, the corresponding higher disconnection temperature is selected according to different operating
current; For example, the ST06 model of SAFTTY will break 15 degrees in advance when passing 10A current, if you want the
internal temperature of the plug to break 90 degrees, the actual choice of 90+15=105 degrees of products.
2. Rated current: ST06 for products with current below 10A; Choose STH6 for products with 16A current;
3. Considering the small internal space of the plug, it is easy to produce the problem that the creepage distance is too small,
and the U1 package with insulation sleeve is recommended;
4. The plug is generally not too large, the internal space is limited, so it is not recommended for the BW series of long strips,
and the length of the long strip products reaching 10A can reach 20mm, which can not be installed;
The same 10A ST06 product, because it is a circular shell, the diameter is 9mm, and the insulation sleeve is 15mm, it is easier
to install into the narrow space of the plug.
Precautions For Use
1.Since the disconnecting temperature of the temperature switch has a tolerance of plus or minus 5 degrees, it is
recommended to use the minimum temperature in the actual verification process, if the selection of 90 degrees
products, the lower limit of 85 degrees product verification, to prevent the ambient temperature is too high and
the overcurrent is large, the temperature switch will jump in advance, resulting in misoperation. For example,
ST0690 products with a lower limit of 85 degrees are charged by 10A current when the ambient temperature is 65.
Due to the thermal effect of the current, the disconnection temperature of the protection will be 15 degrees in
advance, that is, it will break at 70 degrees. 70 degrees is very close to the ambient temperature of 65 degrees, and
the internal heat dissipation environment of the plug is not good, and heat is easy to gather inside. The internal
temperature is higher than the ambient temperature, so the temperature switch is easy to misoperate, disconnect the
loop in advance, resulting in no charge, so when selecting the disconnect temperature, take into account the current
thermal effect andthe ambient temperature, appropriately increase the disconnect temperature.
2.The plug has a large pressure in the injection process, it is recommended to choose a larger pressure resistance of the
iron shell temperature switch, such as ST06 and STH6 are CNC processing brass shell, the pressure resistance reaches 50kg;
The epoxy-wrapped U4 model is more resistant to pressure and can reach 60kg.
3.If the injection pressure is greater, it is recommended to put a plastic shell on the outside of the temperature switch to
cushion the external pressure during injection.
4.The strip parts have plastic parts, the material is PCB, the heat resistance temperature is 150 degrees, the impact of
temperature on plastic parts should be considered when injection molding, if the temperature is too high for too long,
it may cause deformation of plastic parts, resulting in product failure. The actual selection is recommended ST06 and
STH6, there are no plastic parts inside, only metal parts and ceramic parts, high heat resistance temperature.
5.The plug injection process is best to injection twice, the first time to injection a rough embryo, the second time and then
the overall plug injection.
Advantages :
1.High reliability, failure rate below 50ppm;
2.The thermal effect of the current is small. Under the condition of 10A current, ST06 breaks 15 degrees in advance,
while the long strip product breaks about 30 degrees in advance. Therefore, the ST06 model is easier to select and
has better compatibility. For example, if the strip product chooses 100 degrees, considering the current thermal effect
will jump 30 degrees in advance, all the actual selection of 130 degrees products, there is no problem in 10A products,
but if the current thermal effect of 5A products is not obvious, the jump temperature in advance is only about 10 degrees,
which will cause the plug temperature is too high, resulting in performance degradation, and serious fire danger;
3.Cost-effective, round products than similar imported products in the same performance, the price is 50% cheaper.
